T&R became the de facto forward operating base for Covenant : ground forces on Halo, so it makes some sense that he'd want to oversee : operations in person. I think that was a very good move on your part and the inclusion of Commander 'Vadamee with his ornate purple armor was very thought provoking. Much more than seeing a simple white armored Sangheili walk into the room with superior officers protecting him. :) As for "asskicking equals authority", this mindset has been introduced since the beginning of canon. Sangheili aren't afraid of death as long as they've pleased the Gods, the Hierarchs, and ensured the successful completion of the task at hand. For them, I figure that each Sangheili is honored to perish in battle as long as a worthy successor can fill his shoes.
