Ok, not everything, but the beam would have to be brighter, or at least light up the bottom of the vessel. Also, the entire smoke cloud would reflect something like in the Package, where everything is bright orange and looks like molten soup. This is pretty good, but glassing to me, exemplifies a fireball, not different from a nuclear explosion. A complete negative chemical and physical reaction from nature, as the intense heat burns the natural matter we all are made of.
