The whole 2.1 trillion simulated, etc...so : although I have no issue with a Forerunner building on a planet, a beam : tower specifically I do. : Not sure if those towers fire and dissipate at the epicenter of a Halo ring : or of they fire at the opposite side of the ring in some receptacle that : captures and redistributes the energy. If the latter is the case, kind of : moot putting it on a moon or planet. I remember those discussions when they were taking place, so yeah--I completely agree with you. On another topic--do you think the Covenant would even glass a planet with Forerunner structures on it? Brutes, maybe. Elites? Even though the Arbiter destroyed the mining facility, I don't think they would go as far as glassing. Unless there's something in some novels that I didn't read..
