Here we go again "it's a good story but it's not exactly Enders Game or War of the Worlds" comments. Well of course Halo isn't a seminal science fiction masterpiece! How many games are, exactly? None. I don't study critical thinking but there must be some name for this type of logical fallacy, this trying to prove something is overrated because it's not the absolute pinnacle of its genre. Why does Halo attract so many of these comments? I have absolutely no problem with people hating Halo, because I intensely believe in freedom of expression and the diversity of opinion. But it's for that very reason I take issue to people who try and apply some factual basis to their preferences. You disagree with me? Fine. But don't try and pass off your subjectivity as objectivity or we'll fall out very quickly indeed.
