Now, I've never worked with mocap data before but everyone I know : who has has described it as having to clean up animation from the worst : junior animator in the world. It takes a lot of time and work to clean : that up. And you'd probably get a better result if you had the animator : start from scratch. Mocap itself is expensive, and, unless you're doing : something like integrating with live action, it just isn't worth it. If : the animator directs the actor into doing the poses and timing just how he : wants, it still has to be cleaned up regardless. : I hope this made sense :P Completely makes sense. And I should probably disclaim that I am not an animator, nor particularly artistic (I appreciate art, but I don't do much creation thereof).
