Spartans, Cortana, and Salvation

In Response To: Halsey's Journal Sanskrit Text (Stephen L. " I'd think it has more to do with the Spartan program, creating extraordinary humans out of otherwise ordinary... "The presence of excellence reminds most humans that they are not superior" - Exton Land, etc. Be it that the Spartan program was the result of much "deep thinking and noble actions" even when others called the program monstrous, as the intention was to create a solution to stymie what the Overwatch thought would be an inevitable second dark age. The "Noble" reference is bad enough, albeit too obvious, but then, this is a translation of indian scribbled on the inside of a special version intended mostly for us uber-fans. So maybe not obvious. But the creation of Cortana is certainly a good guess, given that she exists to manifest the technology of the Forerunner, those who came before, the "ever vigilant and sovereign Lord[s] of Creation." Cortana's purpose is nothing if not subtle, as are her actions, even if as the Chief we see a much more direct application of her subtle talents. Cool find.
