I took that as marketing speak. They can't really say "We've done all our best marketing, but stick around cuz these next weeks it's gonna mediocre!"

Plus, your $6M would have been spent long ago, and the final weeks would see the final tying up any outstanding budget payouts. Just because they opened the website in the final weeks doesn't mean that $6M went into it :P Clearly the site wasn't groundbreaking marketing. Clearly the site didn't swallow up millions of dollars.

Ultimately that production I see going down in portfolio books under Reach Marketing more than being a success-by-numbers marketing campaign.

What I would like to see, however, is more of tangible memorabilia for those who did claim a point - more than just having your facebook account linked to the website, for some indefinite amount of time. Yay?

You want me to remember reach? Give me something I can keep related to that light monument and display in my home for as long as I want to remember. THEN I'll "Remember Reach" as per the website's apparent social mission. Otherwise it was just pure temporal social marketing which really did me no good.

Had you presented that argument, I'da been on your side from the start ;)
