Gameplay-wise, I agree, I didn't like the ending so much. It wasn't climatic at all, it was pretty boring, and I was really expecting a level afterwards.

Oh wait, there was.

This was pretty much my train of thought. "Oh, I'm shooting ships, this is pretty cool. Okay, shoot that big ship, huh? .... WHAT?! THAT'S IT?! HOLY CRAP. WORST ENDING EVER. Well, I might as well see what the post-credits scene is.

........whoa. Best ending ever."

I just wished I could have survived long enough to make it feel more epic.
