I did miss the point, sorry. : Does a painter control how his art is presented? Maybe da Vinci wanted : everyone to view the Mona Lisa upside down. Every artist relinquishes : control of their art once its produced; interpretation is the cornerstone : of art. It's why art is about invoking specific senses or emotions. You : don't make music to achieve some lofty "art" label, you make : music to encourage specific emotions. These "interactive : experiences" (since you refuse to call them games) are just as wide : open as you want them to be as an artist. A painter has more control over how their art is presented than someone who makes a video game. I mean yeah, the art gallery could present it in an unflattering light or something but these are minor concerns over the types of things you give up when you let the player control a video game.
