In Response To: Re: Halo Evolutions - Question to all readers (Hedgemony) : Getting mine in a week, but I'm curious: Do you think that Halo is better : told as short stories rather than a full novel? : -Hedge. I think Halo can work in almost any format - it just depends on the type of story that the author is wanting to tell, I think. Obviously these upcoming Forerunner novels are probably going to be epic so they need multiple novels, but just one ODST might not have such vast breadth of story, and might be able to tell you a meaningful tale in a much shorter time, hence he might just require a short story. So far these short stories are delivering, but I do think I might slow down and save a few as to not overdo it. Jumping through so many different characters and stories might lessen each one's power in a way if you were just charging through the whole collection. But it will be nice to go back in a few years and read everything again (maybe in story order, that would be fun!) - a novel there, a graphic novel here, a short story there.
