You have no idea when or by whom those ruins were built. Nobody other than Bungie and 343 knows. But like always, people jump to conclusions... by seeing something that has yet to be explained, they incorrectly analyze the situation and try to discredit the reasoning behind said structures. Is it not possible the these ancient ruins (We don't even know how old, they could be tens of thousands of years old) were built by a race such as ours, or the Asian architecture on Earth was merely influenced by secret histories? i.e A style of forerunner or precursor design? This is one episode we've seen, a new area of the Halo universe finally being scratched at. We're all equally ignorant, and of course barely informed by ONE SINGLE EPISODE, as I'm sure was the intended design, so how the HELL can we be jumping to conclusions? I think people should start looking into possible theories or different reasoning behind certain things that are and will be presented in the near future related to the Halo lore. Instead of seeing something new or different, and automatically freaking out as a result of, the "Nobody ever mentioned this," "No one ever said that existed," "How is that possible if this is like this?" mentality. - Helveck
