In Response To: Oh please *OT* (Karagara) : Don't even start on saying Transformers 2 was bad. : You should know that the films content was just what Transformers has always : had as a franchise. : From G1, the majority of the series were crap.
: At least G1 has the excuse that it was produced in the 80's to excuse some of it's... idiosyncrasies. And the original animated movie was a lot of fun in that same way. The later cartoons after the Beast era had no such excuse for their crappiness. Good to see Beast Wars getting some love; that really was one of the best cartoons of the 90's. I don't really get the hate for ROTF I've seen everywhere; it was a big dumb Micheal Bay movie about alien robots blowing stuff up. I went in expecting that and that's what I got. I think a lot of people just like to crap on those movies because Micheal Bay doesn't have the same kind of "nerd cred" that overstuffed wankers like JJ Abrams do. At least I could tell what was happening during ROTF's action scenes. On Halo: I really don't care who produces it, I can't bring myself to get excited about watching an adaptation of a story that's what, not even a decade old at this point? Plus I'd half expect Spielburg to make it into "the story of a boy and his Spartan" or something.
