PAX 2008 Day Two (56k warning!)

In Response To: PAX 2008 Picture Thread (56K WARNING!) (madmax) It's a bit late, but I have been ridiculously busy! PAX Day Two was my "off" day, I wasn't doing any work. Because of this, I got to actually see some games, play some stuffs, and engage in three lunches. To the pictures! Kari, TheDonWan, looking in distress as people in costume cross the street outside PAX. Matt, one of my co-workers, rocking out outside PAX. Big Fallout 3 statue. I can't wait for this game. Rockband 2. Just like Rockband 1, but with wireless stuffs and a lot of tracks. Should be pretty epic. Starcraft 2, Goatrope's favourite game in the entire universe. Actually, I want it too :) The Fallout 3 interview booth. Inside was filled with 40s memorabilia, or so I hear. Two big Castle Crashers statues. If you haven't got Castle Crashers yet, you should, it's a whole lot of fun. Hey look, Bungie has a booth here!! Frank Capazuetto (sorry Frank, I probably butchered your last name there), one of the artists behind Halo 3's brilliance, signing stuff at our booth. The wonderful Lorraine McLees, also signing stuff at the booth. One guy even had a 5 year old Oni shirt that he wanted her to sign, but he vanished before getting it done :/ Shishka and Lukems kept beating kids who wanted Recon. Haha. My second lunch; crepe with banana and chocolate! KP! Australian Bungie fan Skbur, who came all the way just for PAX. Silly man. Xbox Live's Eric "e" Neustadter, watching the "Women in Gaming" panel intently. Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb did daily demos of the new Xbox Dashboard. Despite being beta code, it was still stable, fast, and beautiful. I wasn'y a believe in the new look and layout, but having seen it in action it seems like Microsoft are actually thinking about functionality! Goatrope and Crab stayed in line at the booth for about four hours waiting for a chance to win Recon. They were actually the last pair to play that day, and sadly lost 10:8. Oh well. I think this is actually the moment of their defeat; Crab chased Luke around a corner, foolishly. The handheld lounge on floor two, complete with hundreds of Sumo beanbags. That's it! Sadly I forgot my camera battery on Sunday, the final day, and none of the pictures from our PAX 2008 Wrap Party are fit for public consumption. I was lucky enough to run into Jerry Holkins, also known as "Tycho" from Penny Arcade, as I was extracting my girlfriend from the Hyatt in Seattle on the last day. We had a chat where I congratulated him on an excellent PAX and many more in the future. Honestly if next year you can manage to make it to Seattle for a long weekend for PAX, then do so. It will be epic. Max
