| Day One pictures! Assembly! (56K warning!) | |

In Response To: PAX 2008 Picture Thread (56K WARNING!) (madmax) The first actual day of PAX I spent driving all over. First I took Alex to the event early, then I came back home and had some Fatburger with Crab, Devin and Goatrope. The burgers were delicious, and I was the only one fat enough to get a delicious Banana ice cream shake. I spent three hours at the booth overseeing the "Play Bungie; win Recon!" tournament, which saw about 20 pairs going up against Lukems and Shishka, with about a 50% success story. There was one boy who's dad was meant to team with him but thanks to an unexpected hospital visit he was left on his lonesome. Good old Devin Olsen stepped up to the plate and teamed with the boy to win 15:13 in an epic 5 minute match. Crab and Goatrope are going to try tomorrow, I believe... The fan reception for the new map was phenomenal. We had ten stations with big screens and beanbags, and people were cycling in and out all day long. I'll let those who played it give their opinions (personally, I loved it the first time I played it, months ago), and I think Crab has some footage of Devin playing in his Recon tournament. Now, the pictures! Most of them are taken from a single location in the Bungie booth, where I was stood all afternoon.
