In Response To: Day One pictures! Assembly! (56K warning!) (madmax) Well PAX has been incredible so far... Logan (Crab) showed up on Tuesday night and before I even let them come into the house I got them to finish moving things into my new place (pictured below). Then I had to get to bed pretty early since I had work at 5AM the next morning. Wenesday I had to work, and while I was at work Crab and goatrope were being huge casuals and they went out a walk on the Seawall together, at Stanley park (how cute).... So we didn't really do much that day... But on Thursday we set up a couple TVs and a couple of Xboxs and we set up a mini Halo 1 LAN... which was a ton of fun, and brought back a lot of memories. Thursday night we drove to Seattle, and met up with Max and Alex at some crazy party. We got to meet a bunch of cool people, and play some rock band... And then things got a little out of hand, and a couple of guys started wrestling, and things didn't really end well (pictures below). Friday has been a total blast so far... We got to PAX around 2:00 and had to wait in line for goatrope because his house sucks as getting mail... So around 3:30 we finally got into the exhibition hall and the fun began. First thing you see when you walk in is a big booth set up with playable GoW2, we didn't actually play it because there was so much else going on... But the game looks incredible, I can't wait to get my hands on it tomorrow.. And then Andrew noticed that Star Craft 2 was playable, so for about 1 1/2 Crab and I walked around (played the new map) while goatrope play sc2... During that time Max pulled me to the side and asked me if I would be this kids doubles partner for the Recon challenge... I had only played the map once, and I was supposed to be playing with goatrope, but I felt bad for the kid since he didn't have a teammate, so I decided to play with him. Fortunately for us we won in an incredibly close game 15-13, so I am now the proud owner of Recon Armor *wooo*. After all that went down we just walked around for a while, check out some other cool stuff like: Guitar Hero: World Tour, Mirrors Edge, Saints Row 2, Left 4 Dead... There were some definitely cool games shown at PAX this year, and I was throughly impressed with the caliber of games that were shown/playable this year... PAX is really getting to be quite the show. Well this is getting very long, and I want to go play Halo... So I'll just end my post with this... My highlight of the day so far (besides getting Recon) was meeting Louis Wu in person... I think I had a dumb grin (something like this :D) the whole time we stood there and talked to him. It was really good to meet him, and hopefully now he understands that I am not quite as much of an idiot in real life as I may sometimes appear to be on the forums. Picture time! Crab and goatrope stopped by my work to take a picture of this!
