The COD4 map pack was likely only downloaded by : hardcore players, and Halo 3 didn't beat that in terms of numbers for the : Legendary pack. You are aware that the COD4 map pack set the DLC record with over a million sales in 9 days, right? That would be a whole lot of hardcore players, but then again, nearly everyone I know who has played it for a few minutes has become pretty hardcore about it. :) Anyway, I'd be curious to know what the Legendary map pack's numbers are, but I doubt they're anywhere near that. While it's hardly the most accurate indicator, I don't believe I've seen more than 50-60k combined players in the two DLC playlists at one time. : I think we should just admit COD4 is a more popular game and move on. Halo 3 : isn't the poster boy anymore, shit happens. I still play it. Agreed. Halo 3 is still my favorite game but, as you say, it's no longer the poster boy.
