I played COD4 for a bit. Here's what I think:

I think it's overrated. I think combat isn't anywhere as great as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon AWs, and when I first saw my roommate playing it at 3 in the morning I thought it was Counter Strike for the Xbox. I think the combat system is somewhat broken: from "Last Stand" to calling in a helicopter or air strike based on a killing streak. Controls are clumsy and you move around almost like... Counter Strike. Hell, I think the only thing it had good going for it was its campaign storyline. But even then, it doesn't do as good a job as Ghost Recon AW's story telling. So.. you know what I think? COD4 is going to fizzle out when the next "Halo-killer" comes out onto the market (If it's COD5 then they might as well make a MMORG COD... because what's up with all these sequels? Anyways, when that next "Halo-killer" comes onto the market, those COD4 players will go to that new game, some will come back to Halo 3, and COD4 will rarely be touched again.
