The main : underlying factor in the Covenant's dominance has been their technological : superiority over humans. Plasma vs. Ballisitcs such as the archer missles : and the MAC guns. : In ground engagements, all humans have had are explosive materials such as : rockets, and your average bullet. : But now, in Halo 3... we find equipment that doesn't quite match up with the : story so far. : Bubble Sheild - as far as i can see - this is UNSC stuff. MC uses it on Earth : and it looks like it is constructed by humans. The problem I find here is : that - the UNSC ships have no sheilds. The Covenant does. So why does : infantry have shields, but humans do not?? : Spartan Laser - Where did this come from? It's not plasma... and its not : explosive... its a laser. Like again - I just dont see where this comes : from. Why don't UNSC ships use similar technology other than the largely : ineffective archer missles?? : Like the time between Halo 1 through 3 is very short ... no more than a few : months. I find it hard to believe that the UNSC could make these : advancements so fast. From a gameplay point of view, I love it. But from : the story standpoint - I am just confused. : Can anyone explain where this eqiupment comes from and why its not used to : combat the Covies in space?? I am willing to bet that those inventions have been just thought of by Bun--- Scientists on Earth *ahem* and they have not implemented them into/onto their ships yet. The Spartan armour originally was edited Covenant technology. It is the year 2552, get with the program. Hehe.. Spartan Program... I made a pun-ish!
