Halo Wars Elites

So, I'm looking over the Elites in the trailer, and I understand some people commenting on how the Elites look so much larger and more muscular than their counterparts elsewhere. Now, upon observing still images very closely, I suddenly noticed something.
Look very closely at the "muscular" Elites. As in, this image here. Examining their waists and arms, particularly where their shoulders are positioned, as well as the size of their legs reveals something that I'm surprised no one's caught onto yet.
The Elites aren't buffed up on steroids. They're wearing bulky-ass armor.
Why would Elites be wearing bulky armor? From my observation, its fairly simple, actually: they're wearing cold weather gear.
Our "steroid" Elites are simply wearing their equivilant of cold weather armor.
