Any kind of explanation or apology? : Not a word. Not a peep. That's how terrible he feels. : "I feel terrible about this whole thing - what can I say" : Not "I'm sorry" evidently. Draw your own conclusions. Well you just blew my "the author hasn't posted since Pinkuh showed us proof, kinda suspicious" up. So while none of us can ever be 100% sure (other than your own word of mouth) that you weren't involved at all with the art process, or didn't know where the rifle came from for that matter, this post puts things into perspective for us. You've somewhat earned my (skeptical) sympathy, as having someone other than yourself potentially ruin your career is a pretty messed up way to go. Hopefully this guy (the "artist") gets what's coming to him. It's clear that he plagiarized in more ways than one. With any luck this thing will blow up and his career will be tarnished, not your own. Perhaps the current edition will get pulled and you can get a new artist and re-release in the near future. Assuming there's nobody in the book named Master Chief, or any variation thereof... I know that would probably be a lengthy and costly process, but hopefully you can make it happen. I wish you the best, and hope you can get it all figured out and hopefully HIS mistakes don't crush your career. And to the artist... Well, McDonalds is always hiring. They don't need minds with original ideas.
