In Response To: Interesting... While in Barnes and Noble yesterday (TragicNocturne) Hi Jack, Thanks for getting in touch and bringing me up to speed on the situation with the gun. The way the gun was worked from that piece was from three separate screen renders of three different, but compatable gun designs. This gun is a product of that hybrid. The source of these screen shots was compilation wire frames that have been produced by various companies and individuals. Up until your email I was totally unaware of the game Halo 2 let alone this individual rifle. Now I have seen the various articles in your forum I agree that there are similiarities, but the screen shot that has been presented in close scrutiny would not have worked from that angle. Anyway, the similarities in design are coming through from the original wire-frames that are not my work. This may be where the influence has come from, but I cannot acoount for this. The elements that appear in my image are a result of my own render of the guns and my own airbrush work to achieve the final finish. The wireframes I mentioned at the start are sold on CD or as download all over the internet. This particluar gun design was made from such a disk. I have owned this disk for about 18 months. These are the only answers I can give you Jack. I am afraid that despite the similarities there is so much of my own work here that it would be difficult to say that I stole it. Digital technology means that designs and ideas are flying left right and centre over the internet and it is impossible to know every outlet and source for these properties. I have endless examples of not only my own art appearing on unauthoried websites but also elements of my art being used in other peoples designs...
