Well, I've been posting in 'The Maw', the Halo PC forum on Bungie.net, since early February last year. So in other words, I've been there a fairly long time. Back in pre-Summer and right after the release of Halo 2 there was a lot of talk about Halo 2 PC and the possibility of its creation. For some time, every singly thread on the front page was about "where is Halo 2 PC?" and "things they could do in Halo PC". So although we must all admit that Gearbox didn't do an amazing job; us Halo PC fans still love the game. Now...after many weeks and weeks of discussions (more like heated manifestos) on Halo 2 PC Bungie finally had to respond. At one point we had a incredibly organised response, led by one Mr B and a few other regular forum members. It got to the point where we posted in the Septagon to get more attention, and finally it came to the moving of the thread back to the Maw and the reply of every single moderator on the forums. We sure had a good argument and not even a word about Halo 2 PC from Bungie wasen't helping. But I digress. In the end SketchFactor ended up posting this:
It took a few weeks for people to cool down, but in my opinion the forums haven't been the same since. So if this is the real thing the last thing we need is people getting hyped up and then disappointed. It's probably nothing, but we'll see where it goes. | |
