In Response To: Re: Halo Science Page - Volunteers Needed! (Jillybean) : Okay, now that I'm slightly clearer, I think we're supposed to be working
I was definitely not thinking of a MPRRS/Movie Cynics database type thingy. I was thinking of a Story-Page type thingy with a more formalized submission process, and a few more editors. But if we're supposed to be doing a Halo Facts Peer Review Ratings System, I have a lot to catch up on... If not, here is some of what I had in mind, with a few improvements suggested by Jillybean. I had a few ideas as to the categories: Physical Sciences Technology
Theoretical Physics
Astronomy
Mathematics
Biology
A lot of information is already written up. I think, though, that it should be a little more authoritative than the HSP (I'm going along with HFP unless someone can come up with something better) in the final writeup, so each page will have a references section at the bottom, with links to published papers and credit to content submitters (and editors, of course). I think a standard form for submitting future entries (those not already posted on the forum or written up by Stephen Loftus or UNSCDF) should include a required reference. They're not to hard to find on the web. Oh, and Stephen's articles would be linked to from the apropriate sections. | |
