| Small clarification... | |

In Response To: Halo Science Page - Need Feedback! (Quantum) I think this is a fine idea as well. I think many of the respondents have misunderstood the last line in Quantum's post, though... Just chiming in and saying "hey, this is a great idea" will get nobody anywhere. This is one of those things I simply don't have time to do. So if it's going to get done, someone else has to do it. There's no shortage of talent here - but SOMEONE has to actually sit down and organize the volunteers, figure out who's going to code the back end, and DO it. I'll certainly commit to hosting this, if/when it comes into existence, and I can probably offer some help late in the game (in terms of tying it in to existing systems here and such)... but the BULK of the work has to be done by others for this to happen. I'm in no way trying to put a damper on this idea - I think it's a great concept for a new section here, I think it's much-needed, and I think it's great that so many people are saying they're willing to help out with the sorting once it goes live - but it has to go live before any of that can happen. :) And for THAT to happen, someone has to build it. (Quantum understood that before the first post in this thread went up - and I'm sure several other people realized it, as well... but the bulk of the responses in this thread suggest that MANY people didn't realize it, so I'm clarifying.)
