(Ashy Larry) : "in conclusion, MC-Helmet=mail bomb to the director's house" : - a little militant don't you think ;) yes, perhaps :) : If you are going to argue with me, then please don't put words into my mouth. : I never said that a FPS couldn't make a good movie and I have NO problems : with Microsoft whatsoever. yeah, dude, im sorry, i just was in a bad mood. i never once felt that you were being a jerk, and what i meant by the mc helmet joke was purely in keeping with my cynical view, which is that if it does come off it won't be bungie's decision. i completely and 100% trust bungie. if they decide to change something, so be it, that is how the haloverse plays out. but if it was a third party decision (and this is the point i was trying to get at earlier) which just didn't seem natural, then i would be pissed. i really did not mean to imply that changes wouldn't have to be made, i just meant that if a change happened it had better be something bungie would approve of. and depending on how you tell the story, sometimes that one little moment can have a much bigger overall impact than a long drawn out scene. besides, part of jon's character is the mystery of his real emotions. there is no doubt in my mind that they will have to concentrate the story (think about it; there were hours of cutscenes in halo 2 alone, not including action), but i am just worried that to do this the director (who i can't trust since i don't know who he is yet) might take some liberties which are not a natural extension of the haloverse. in conclusion, i never meant to suggest that you were and jerk, or a non dedicated halo fan, or anything like that. im afraid i just missenterpreted your post, and took out a lot of my pent up emotion about the movie in that post. in fact, after reading your opinions again, i have to say that i agree with every word you say; i just felt the need to extend on those concepts with my own thoughts on the subject. once again, my deepest apology. Stefan P.S. the threat still stands; all future directors, you had better be pretty careful about how you handle a sceen with the mask off... ;)
