In Response To: A Serious Question for Matt (MamoVaka) "also Team Fortress 2 is to come out in June and that is also another Grand undertaking." How do you believe it's due out in June? It was due out two years ago and they just changed the game a great deal, again! We haven't even seen the game since this last graphics change. I'm almost sure when I say this, don't expect it this June. Also, it's not a grand undertaking, the only new thing in it is the rendering less polygons with distance, and it wont be the first game to do this once it is released. The talking ability is neat, but not new either. Halo is a massive undertaking. Not only does it look great, but it's supposed to come with gameplay! It's coming with something new, inverse kinetics, which is a nice new step with graphics. Also, the vehicles are new (new because they add all types, air, land and sea) and no other game will have quite the selection of vehicles as Halo does. Halo possibly could've been close to being completed by now, had it not been for them taking up Halo for the X-Box. I think it's a nice idea, as it allows them to do a lot with the already stunning graphics. They made this decision because they need to feed their families just as well as we do, and by working for the Evil Empire that is Microsoft (I love 'em, although Netscape is probably right, they hurt the consumer by giving them a not so buggy [*cough* Netscape is full of bugs *cough] webbrowser :) ). By taking up Halo for the X-Box they probably had to agree to certain terms (I love ya Bungie, but no doubt you had to submit to the strong arm of Microsoft when they wanted the X-Box release first). Halo should be a much better game now that it is coming out for the X-box. Due to the fact that it is coming out for the X-Box FIRST, I'm sure they probably slowed up on the programming for Halo for the Windows and Mac versions, so the X-Box version could catch up and hopefully get finished prior to the release of the X-Box console. I probably will be buying a X-Box, partially for Halo, but mostly for the pure gaming and graphical goodness that it should supply. | |
