In Response To: enkidu_h (Geary) It may seem rather trivial, but I think most of the avenues of discussion on the latest Enkidu terminal have already been mentioned. I would just like to point out one thing which is pretty obvious but perhaps could still use some pointing out. Near the end, when the Covenant transmission cuts through, we see this: [Route Code: MNNT > XCV - UNSC > ALLCH]
This may look familiar to some or most of us. It is the same format as used in some of the Cortana Letters, specifically the third and fourth. An example: Route Code: EXLTD > XCV - SCRB > ALLCH
In fact, the entire format is the almost exactly the same. A "transfer interrupted" followed by a route code resembling those above, and then a Covenant threat tinged with religious rhetoric. Cortana Letter speculation resulted in the following: The 'ALLCH' almost certainly stood for All Channels, and 'SCRB' might have stood for SolCore Radio Band. The 'EXLTD' was always presumed to be Exalted, an ambiguous religious reference, and the 'XCV' was never really speculated on. In the "How I Spent..." route code, the ALLCH is still there, and we see UNSC, which obviously stands for United Nations Space Command. The 'XCV' is still there causing confusion, and we have a new sender, 'MNNT'. I've already run this through several acronym searches and it turns up nothing. I thought I'd throw it out to the community and see if anybody else has ideas on what it might stand for, since I'm about out. It might be absolutely fruitless to know, but it could also aid in the speculation. Hopefully this gets some attention in this thread before the next Enkidu comes out. If not I'll try to link it. | |
