In Response To: 3rd person should be fine (bug) Maybe they are trying to please both camps and get all the players they can while still allowing you a CHOICE? I seriously doubt that having the option for 1st person pov will impact your enjoyment of the game at all..Well, except for the fact that the people in 1st-ppov will be wasting you as you struggle to aim you 3rd-ppov rifle of course.. no matter WHAT they impliment as a sighting system(short of some form of auto-aim) the 1st-person-mode-shooters will be more accurate in a gunfight than those using third. I'm hoping that this is why Bungie is making the transition - I mean who needs the pressure of a bunch of Quake players to make a change when any of the developers who try 1st person mode will slaughter their 3rd person competition in testing? Personally I'd like to see them use 1st person but something a little different than quake/doom/everything else - make it so you could see your arms, leg and torso when you look down or your shoulder briefly when you spin a 180! If I'm drivin while shooting(in one Halo movie the driver is firing a pistol while holding the wheel), show one of my arms out-stretched and my hand on the wheel! Since we haven't seen a REAL Halo match in action all we have to go on is the companies great reputation and the 'looks' of the game so far - if they can tighten up the aiming accuracy for players with a 1st person pov option, yet still allow you to identify with your player through little extras like seeing parts of your own body without going all the way to 3rd person, that would rule =] >It seems to > me bungie is just trying to please the masses of quake players > who know what a game should be like and won't let anyone tell > them otherwise.
