(Steve Levinson) As much as I loved playing Rubicon and found it to be polished, and for the most part true to the Marathon universe, I can't recall anything really innovative in the entire scenario - nothing that made you say, "Wow, how did they do that!" It was nice to see our old friends back, such as the lookers, wasps and hulks, with a few added surprises. It was also nice that we didn't see or hear ambient life native to Lh'owon that shouldn't really be there, as we often did in other 3rd party scenarios. The maser was a cool weapon - the Rubicon team deserves credit for that. The cool blue cast to the level Hex Level 73 - could that be considered an innovation? The time limit on Hairy Legs - that was the first time I had seen anything like that in any Marathon scenario - can anyone come up with a scenario that used that trick before? Not that Rubicon wasn't an outstanding scenario, but this was the one disappointment to me. | |
