I mean, you said you were "forced to use the Aleph One version". Just seemed weird to act like there were no other options, especially since that seemed so much worse an option (the mod is fun, but the fun is specifically in seeing how things get changed and adapted to a different engine, not serving as a substitute for the original).
I don't see myself replaying the game, but a new version would be convenient for people who want to, sure.
