Is it another sign of age? In part, almost certainly. For example, I have had mild Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for decades, and my hands and fingers just aren't as fast as they used to be, not by a long shot. If I am playing a game with a controller and that game has quicktime events (RE4 and RE5, for example), I have to get my wrist involved and do a kind of rapid "strum" just to be able to hit the button fast enough. You get old, and shit starts to fail. Also, another big factor is you probably do not have the time and interest you did back in the day to spend hundreds of hours a month playing Marathon, and if you do, I hope you are enjoying your retirement. ;)
