Yes, been there, done that. This was exactly my experience testing this a few days ago. Fighting in the corridor causes a commotion at the end overlooking the throne room and this activates an Enforcer which wakes up the Compilers. Backing off, meaning running away like a little girl, so the fighting does not happen in "view" of the throne room seems to prevent this.
