I'd have to say that games haven't really changed in my opinion. We still have the good, and we still have the bad. Sure, Marathon, Doom, Wolfenstein, and all those good old-school classics were mind-blowing, and still are today, (some I never played, I'm sorry to say) but we have to remember that a lot of the work that should be put into stories and gameplay, are now getting shoved into graphics and design, and that leaves other aspects lacking in some games. In other games, the right aspects shine and blow the game to the top of the cool-o-meter, so we still have the same effects in game production, just not the same causes.

That might not be what most would say, but meh. That's just me.

Oh, and please fewer acronyms for us less-affluent gamers. Thnx.
