ON RIVETS
The metal is known as sheet metal and since it's thin, it can be shaped easily. It can be made out of many different materials. The "pattern" is optional and is there to reduce slippery and eliminate light reflections. The thickness and space between every embossed line is what decides the effectivess of it.
It gives a feeling of industry, where mistakes must be reduced, to ensure optimal results. You'll see this material in industrial buildings, machinery, ramps, walkways, containers etc, and lately in normal objects since humans find it to be "cool".
Me, I dont see the logic of the architect who puts this pattern on the surfaces in a temple. Stone eliminate light relfections much better, and carpets or stone reduce slippery too well. You'll see that in the construction of a temple, architects can afford to use more expensive materials when he creates it's appealing looks. This is true for a lot of buildings, not just temples.
Perhaps the pattern would be used in rare areas of the temple, which are hidden from the common eye.

ON LAVA
I understood you had aimed for more real lava, but it looks like the fire colors has become dull in the process. You can watch pictures of real lava and see that fire will remain to shine and be bright. Or am I misinformed? If so, please educate me.

ON MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE
It's an interresting start, and quite a hard battle, but I managed to get through after several lessons on how dangerous pfhor are in swarms.
Once the first battle is through, the rest is easier when you're given access to 3x rechargers.
The start is what gives this level its feel and impact.There's some nice architecture later on, and most of it passes the eye without notice. I liked the switch hunt, since I was able to predict where to go all the time. I think it works to have switch hunts in small areas like the end part of this level.
ERRORS:
polygon link between 33 and 40: When you walk between these polygons you bounce/teleport away to another polygon
polygon link between 8 and 23: When you walk between these polygons you bounce/teleport away to another polygon
(This is caused by 3 polygons sharing the exact same line)
