The opening screens should now have the exact timing (give or take whatever time it took QuickTime to load the file in the background, and the fraction of a second difference the different clocks make) that NIBs had. However, I am still at a loss as to how to get scrolling to work smoothly at the same speed, when Marathon's clock ran at 1/60 second, and SDL's clock runs at 1/1000. Find the least common denominator there, and compare it to how high the chapter screens are in pixels :(
The choice between jumpy scrolling but identical timing, and smooth scrolling but slightly different timing, is a difficult one.

Sounds like it. Can you give me more info about your resolution, fill-the-screen/fullscreen settings?
