The problem there is that by getting rid of a colorset, almost every map would a good deal of retexturing. I've had this debate with Forrest before, and he's always managed to convince me that we're better off maintaining the five colorsets. It would be nice to get some more variety, but Forrest's textures have come a long way in that regard since Mark I. In Mark I, every texture set and every color and every subdivision thereof had the same basic modifications. There were pipes (which I think were warped slightly for the Pfhor set, or was that doen for Mark II?), tiles, logos, lights, and a few other modifications. The only differences really were the base texture (a canvasy texture for the Marathon set, a earthier one for Lava, etc.) and the texture on top of it (something, stone, and metal) and the color. Since then, things have progressed to the point where some players might not even realize that there's a color scheme in place.

I agree that Eternal could benefit from the introduction of more unique textures (textures not within the system), but the absence of such textures right now isn't enough of a problem, in my opinion, to warrant all the extra work it would take to implement the new ones.
