	In Response To: level 19-21 (goran) : SPHT TEXTURES: - why is that spht, pfhor, and humans use rivets not only on : their floors (which you might suspect be a good architecture plan), but on : walls and ceilings too? : It's very suspectible that all these 3 races have invented the same idea to : reduce slippery. The spht seems to fly alot too. Why rivets? I hadn't really thought of it as floor rivets, rather just as generic corrugated metal. A lot of industrial things seem to be built out of sheets of such metal (you can buy raw sheets of such metal and weld them together into whatever you like; my father built a big wood-burning stove out of the stuff at his house). It's also a nice pattern for metal textures that makes it clearly a raw industrial metal, so I made extensive use of it in all texture sets. Though, I have just removed it from the Pfhor set in the revisions I made last night (the Pfhor metals now more closely resemble their Infinity counterparts, and I replaced the pale "outdoor" texture base with one derived from a particularly organic looking M2 Pfhor texture). : Sometimes, I think it looks like half of the textures were borrowed from the : human set. Yeah, a lot of them were. If you can name some of the ones that are particularly obvious, I'll see if I can introduce a bit more variety into them. : There's five colors: grey, green, brown, purple, and blue : For the spht set I want to change the green to ruby red. Hmm... that is an idea. : I'd like the lava to shine more (be brighter and clearer). Clearer as in more transparent? Also, is this a suggestion for the texture itself or for the way it's used (and lighted) in maps? I tried to make my lava look a bit more realistic than the traditional Marathon lava, since real lava isn't usually found so hot that it's a bright, pure fluid except when it's just first spewed out of the ground. Most lava you'll find lying around in pools (or even flowing in rivers) has started to congeal, and has dark spots of cooler rock floating on it's surface. : To sum it up, I think there's room for imporvement on this texture set. I agree. The S'pht textures are probably the weakest of them all. Once again, thanks for the great feedback Goran.
