------------------ Heh, lowercase folder names, and lots of them. No cool icons. -shrug- not very important, but you should spend time polishing your work. What the hell? The opening force-field causes horrible bouncing. Even after it's dispelled you can still cause bouncing if you move in the right way. Hidden terminal done perfectly, though. What the hell is the deal with these spark things on the floor? They move in a cool way... but that doesn't explain shit. Matrix-wall is moderately cool. "The bobs tell you" is all well and good but it's really not that hard to hide the terminal or put a flashing "Press tab to speak" overlay on there. Lighting is passable, it doesn't behave like that in real life. Geometry is very cool. Same for textures. It's impossible to get to the health thingies regardless of how well you shoot and run. **thumbs down** and on top of that the switch's darkness means you can't tell whether you triggered it from a distance. Is this intentional? Narrow, BoB filled corridors? Trash! Never, never, never do this!! Transparent liquid containers mildly cool. You can put a platform in there to give the impression of tide, you know. Similarly, they don't have to be all full and intact. Woah! There's a bug in that place where you open the door by pressing the switch next to it. I hope that's not intentional or anything... pressing it managed to cause the whole area to go untextured (probably the player's containing poly screwing up in one way or another) until the platform reversed! I couldn't reproduce the effect, though. Odd, still. -------------------- Anyway. This map, at least, is exactly as I expected: Very cool, but NOT pushing the boundaries of the engine. Seriously, are you fucking joking me?! Have you SEEN Missed Island or even the Killing Time tutorials?!? THOSE are pushing the bounds of the engine.
Why don't I show you my trickiest creation. Evil grin. It was so satanic I had to keep it in a locked cupboard for years, unfinished, so I'm going to have to finish it off before I unleash it on the world (right now it's a bit disjointed, there are too many areas linked by teleporters) and it won't exactly be playable. Still, it's wild. Shit! I never released MMN 4. Hell, I might as well do that, while I'm at it. Gimme a few hours, k?
