: Or any other storage medium, such as external hard drives.
: Basilisk II can substitute for HFV Explorer.
: As far as I can tell, Eternal Mk I, Beyond Aurora, and RED 1.1 are in some
: new kind of Mac OS X zip format. StuffIt 5.5 won't open it at all, and
: Windows XP complains that multiple files have the same name. Unlike the
: old DOS zip format, it seems to automatically include both the data forks
: and resource forks.
On a related note, the way that I got Mk I ported to Windows was that unstuffing a .SIT file on Windows (at least on the computer of the person I got to help me with this) will give you a "File.resources" for every given "File", which is just the resource fork in a data file. We just took the Images.resources and renamed it "Images" and kept the Map.resources where it was and deleted the rest, put it in a folder with A1, and after a few other tweaks to make the physics recoginized and to fix some broken stuff that Mac AO tolerated but Win AO didn't, it worked.
