Maybe I missed something, but I'm not sure about the Pfhor being knocked back thousands of years by a slave revolt, even a devastating one. If the Pfhor successfully suppressed the Nahk revolt, that suggests they did not revert back to an earlier stage of development. They would have certainly been weakened, but I imagine their level of technology would stay the same, or even increase, as conflict tends to be a catalyst for technological development. A long time ago I theorized that the Pfhor didn't undergo much technological development because slaves provided all their needs: following this, it could be argued that technological improvement only ocurred during slave revolts or other massive conflicts!
