: What is it with wives, anyway? So what do your kids think of your obsession?
As for wives, that raises a curious question. Aside from Jane Davison and SheBob, have there been any other devoted female Marathoners? (Forgive me if I have overlooked someone.)
As for my obsession, I speak openly and frankly when I say my family is embarassed at my behavior with this game. Actually, I should say they are embarassed at how easily I let the game get to me. That is, they do not understand the point in getting upset when things do not go my way during gameplay. Is everyone else like me? Is ANYONE else like me? Am the only one that will throw a tantrum and rant when the Pfhor are getting the better of me? Now, I don't do things like throw the keyboard, etc....nothing hostile to living things or important things......however, I have gotten up from my computer, screamed, and kicked a shoe across the room (or whatever happens to be nearby...not the cat). I've done that many times! If things get too bad, I have had the family leave the room. :) I don't try to defend myself. I suppose I am embarassed too.
All in all, the family tolerates my obsession....but secretly I think they wish I'd find a more relaxing and less stressful hobby. :)
