In Response To: Re: Did I see what I think I saw? (Ernie) : Steve, can you whip up a tourists list of these must-see
: -Blayne [ernie] Lets say it's the original marathon's nature that makes it so good. I've found out that it's something very unique about matt schenks gameplay, it flows great. The puzzles, or the things you have to do, are lined up in a logical way and are very variating. The levels are small, and are all based on a characteristic design. Every level feels different from the other and requires different approaches. Terminal messages are short and informative (some terminals got info dumps though). Why I like pf so much is probably because it feels like you're guided all the time, and the AI's keep checking back at you every now and then (due to small levels), there's a great reward factor, again thanks to the small size of the levels. It's just like that famous architect said: Less is more. Ernie, a tip from me, play the first levels, an hour of gameplay or so, it should be enough to impress you. At least that was all it took for me to say, oh my god, this is awesome. (though I am still wondering why it is so awesome, I haven't find anything new in it, but I get a good feeling when playing it)
