I doubt the third eye would add much to the depth perception. But maybe the third eye sees in different wavelengths than the two others? Maybe two eyes are greyscale and give depth, while the third eye provides color? Or maybe the third eye is a "night vision" eye?

Or maybe it's just a spare part? The pfhor seem to live in a rather violent society, so redundant body parts might be a benefit - particularily wrt something as sensitive as an eyeball.
