Ah, good point. Further, no law can prevent "derivitave" fan works, ie., fanfiction, all the scenarios, etc., which may indeed fall into the category of cannon.

Bungie themselves may not be able to authorize such, but could surely contribute, and have through eg. the m2 source (now Aleph), and such.
