I agree. But don't expect a Marathon 4. If there is ever a new Marathon game, it won't be congruent with the Marathon we know any more than the new Manchurian Candidate is a sequel of the original. The next Marathon game, if there is one, will be a modernized version using a modern game engine and *gasp* a more modern plot. "What!" you say. Seriously, although the story of Marathon is a classic, it's dated. I believe that Wide Load would take the best elements of the original story, but the level layout would be drastically altered, the physics would be more realistic, the puzzles less contrived and, inevitably, the plot would be redesigned to better fit the new game. Will it happen? No, but if it does, this is what to expect.
