Or you could take the Back To The Future Part III approach and make a prequel-sequel; subjectively, from the player's point of view, happening AFTER Infinity, but in an objective outside timeline happening earlier than the other games. We have time travel to play with now. The earlier events don't have to be earlier events in the humans' timeline; you can go back and witness the history of the alien races that we've seen, the S'pht Clan Wars, the first conquest of Lh'owon, the Drinniol rebellion, the fall of the Jjaro... of course by then you've just got Eternal, but hey...
