And it's not circles you can make with chisel either. That thing is very useful. Media munging, wide terminal pictures, stretched textures, etc.

Be careful so you don't overdo it though. In retrospect I think I kinda went overboard with the circles thing on some of my maps.

That's ok. I might have been a bit touchy. Some of the critizism Rubicon recieved when it was released was surprizingly vitriolic. I don't mind people not liking it, as long as they don't try to speak on behalf of all the players. Did you know some members of FM's court tried to start a petition to tell me (and Scott) how terrible Rubicon was?

The decision to go with muted colors for the aliens was mine. I wanted to change the color to indicate the passage of time. I chose muted colors because 1) I generally prefer muted colors, and 2):

Military uniforms that scream "HEAR WE COME! WE'RE THE BIG DANGEROUS ENEMY!" went out of vogue with the appearance of modern warfare. Letting the enemy know where you are means getting yourself shot to pieces. Muted colors are a more logical choise for military uniforms, and I suppose they'll stay that way from now on (unless warfare evolves to the point where it no longer matter what the soldiers wear - they'll probably be nerds fighting via GUIs anyway)
