I have mentioned Dissent here in the forum before, particularly with respect to that very unique level - I forget the name - in which the player has to drop down and clear a ship of its S'pht (they're called something else, however) level by level because there are no stairs or elevators on the ship - the S'pht don't need them. Dissent is a very good scenario and I have played it through a few times and found it enjoyable every time. It has a tightly integrated story that would be appropriate for discussion. I think that there are other scenarios that I would place ahead of Dissent, however. Ben Potter's Marathon Fell is light-years ahead of Dissent, even though it has a few rough edges, and it has a non-linear Marathon-based story that is outstanding. Imagine a time in the future when humans and Pfhor are working together to try and alter the past to prevent an invasion by something far more dangerous than anything we've seen before? Need I say more? The Black Series has some of the best maps I've ever seen - it just has a crappy story. It would be nice if we could just rewrite the story to be more consistent - that would make an otherwise great scenario truly outstanding. Of course, an AI called Wanda is up there, and so is Mark Levin's OV. There are a lot of great scenarios and I would agree that Dissent is among them.
