Trojan is really, really cool. It takes place in the distant future, well after the defeat of the Pfhor, in a universe where corporate greed rules - and then there is a mysterious attack by an entirely new alien species - but is this really an unprovoked attack? The levels are awesome. The gameplay is terrific. Truly a must-play. Trojan never was and never will be released for M2, Mi or AO for the Mac, but it was released for M2 for Windows, since there never was an M1 SDL prior to the advent of AO. If you have access to a PC and can get a copy of M2 SDL, you can create an SDL version of Trojan which should be playable on a Mac using AO. Just don't ever share you version, as the Trojan team has promised to hunt down anyone who attempts to make a version of Trojan for AO. I don't agree with their attitude, but they feel that they could never sanction a conversion of Trojan to another platform without extensively testing it, and they do not have the time to do so adequately. That reminds me, I found someone willing to trade some of my Marathon stuff for a compiled copy of Trojan SDL - I've had other things going on including my PB dying on me, but I must take him up on this. | |
