I believe that the thought behind that post was that this forum is a lot different from the HBO forum. The number of regulars here is a tiny fraction of the number of regulars and pseudo-regulars on HBO, and the number of posts is an even tinier fraction. We totally understand that the HBO forum is full of annoying posts, but this forum is so small and the posts are so few, that it's not unfeasible to take the patience to be super nice even when people are idiots. (I'm not calling anyone an idiot now.) So to put it in a single sentence, we all expect you to be super nice to idiots, or else we'll be all upset and complain about your attitude.

(Paranoid clarification: that last part was kind of tongue-in-cheek.)

Also, I'd hardly say that most of the posts here are criticism. In general. Maybe not the last few days, but...
